Cressida Peever

I am a writer and director originally from Oxfordshire, and now based in London. I have an eclectic portfolio including comedy, drama, documentary and work for young audiences — all connected by strong narrative and characters with heart.
I have particular experience of writing stories that honour a specific time or culture, whether that’s the 1980s mining community in the UK midlands or the Inari Sàmi folklore of Northern Finland.
My career highlights so far include directing Christopher Eccleston (best known for BBC’s Doctor Who); having my theatre show, RED PALACE, chosen as a ‘top pick of the year’ by The Stage; and working with Santa and his elves in temperatures of –30°C.
